Dear Sebree Families,
We have had a wonderful start to the school year! It has been exciting to welcome our students back, see them settling into their routines, and watch the learning and connections taking place throughout our school. We are grateful for the support and partnership of our families as we work together to make this a great year for every student.
As we transition into fall, we have many important dates, activities, and events coming up over the next few months. We encourage you to take a few minutes to review this edition of the Sebree Parent Post and mark your calendars. Staying connected and informed is one of the best ways we can work together to support our students.

Each Friday morning, we draw Hooray Tickets to recognize students who are doing an awesome job showing what it means to be a Sebree student! Our Citizens of the Week are students who have been caught making great choices by being Respectful, Responsible, and Safe. We are so proud of these students for setting a great example for others and helping make Sebree a wonderful place to learn and grow! 🎉 |

Parade of Grands |

❤️ PARADE OF GRANDS! ❤️
UPDATE: Due to the high temperatures, we made the decision to reschedule our Parade of Grands. While we know our students and families were looking forward to this special event, the safety and well-being of our students, families, and guests was our top priority. We are working to select a new date and will share that information with our Sebree families as soon as possible.
Join us as we celebrate the wonderful grandparents and grands who mean so much to our students! In honor of Grandparents’ Day, we’re hosting our special Parade of Grands on Thursday, September 3 at 9:00 AM.
Grandparents are invited to parade through our circle drive while students line the route to wave, cheer, and celebrate them! 🚗❤️
🎈 Make it festive! We encourage our grands to decorate their vehicles with signs, balloons, streamers, or other fun decorations.
We can’t wait to fill our circle drive with smiles, waves, and lots of love as we celebrate our amazing grands! ❤️

High Attendance Day |
This Wednesday, September 9, is High Attendance Day, and we’re aiming for 100% attendance at Sebree!
Every student being at school makes a difference, and we would love to have every Sebree student here with us!
To make the day a little more fun, it will also be Pajama Day! 💤 Students are invited to wear their favorite school-appropriate pajamas and help us celebrate a great day of attendance.
Let’s go for 100%, Sebree! 🖤❤️

Back to School Family Lunch 🍎 |
We’re excited to welcome our Sebree families for our first Family Lunch of the school year on Tuesday, September 22! Families of students in PreK–6th grade are invited to join us for lunch and spend a little extra time with their favorite Sebree student. ❤️
Adult meals are $5 each, cash only. To help our lunch lines move quickly, we are asking families to prepay this year. Please complete the Family Lunch form and return it with your payment.
⏰ RSVPs and payment are due Tuesday, September 8! Our café staff need plenty of time to prepare and order enough food for everyone, so please be sure to get your form turned in by the deadline.
Have more than one student at Sebree? Let us know on your form if you would like a sibling pulled from class to eat with you, and we’ll make sure they can join you! On lunch day, please arrive 10 minutes before your student’s scheduled lunch time and have your ID ready for check-in.
We can’t wait to welcome our families back into the building, share a meal, and make some sweet Sebree memories together! 🍎🥛❤️

Mark your calendars for one of our favorite fall traditions! Our Sebree Fall Festival is coming up on Friday, September 25, from 5:00–7:00 PM!
Bring the whole family and join us for an evening full of fall fun, games, food, and time together as a Sebree community! 🎯🎃🍁 We’ll have lots of games for the kids and food trucks available with delicious options for families to purchase.

We’re excited to celebrate students who make responsible, respectful, and safe choices each month! At the end of every month, students who meet our PBIS expectations will have the opportunity to participate in a special PBIS Reward.
To qualify for the monthly reward, students must have:

❤️ 0 Office Referrals
Each month is a fresh start and a new opportunity to earn the reward! We encourage all of our students to make positive choices, follow school expectations, and work toward celebrating with us at the end of the month.

Help us recognize the amazing adults who go above and beyond for our students every day! Each month on Fun Friday, one deserving Sebree School staff member will receive the Golden Stapler Award! ⭐
Families and students are encouraged to nominate any adult at Sebree School who has made a positive difference—teachers, assistants, cafeteria staff, custodians, bus drivers, bus monitors, and more!
