We have officially wrapped up Week 3 of learning, and it’s hard to believe we’ve already completed 14 days of school together! 🎉 Routines and expectations are really taking shape, and it’s exciting to see our students settling in, building strong habits, and showing great focus in their classrooms.
This coming week, we are especially looking forward to our Parade of Grands—a special opportunity to celebrate and welcome the important role grandparents and grand-friends play in the lives of our students. 💙 Thank you for your continued support in helping us make the start of this school year such a positive one. We’re off to a wonderful beginning, and I can’t wait to see what the next weeks bring!

Citizens of the Week |
Congratulations to Our Citizens of the Week!
|
|
At Sebree, we celebrate students who go above and beyond in showing what it means to be respectful, responsible, and safe. Throughout the week, students earn Hooray Tickets for making positive choices.
Every Friday morning, tickets from each grade level are entered into a drawing, and winners are named our Citizens of the Week. These outstanding students are recognized school-wide and get to choose a special prize as a reward for their efforts.

How Many Days Have We Been In School? |
 |
MAP Testing |
This week, students in grades K-1 will begin their MAP testing. MAP testing helps us identify where each student is academically at the beginning of the year, so teachers can better support their individual learning and growth. Please help your child do their best by making sure they get a good night’s sleep and arrive at school on time. 🌟 |
Energy Drinks |
As a reminder, energy drinks are not allowed at school. The beverages can disrupt learning and have negative effects on student health. During the school day, the only beverage permitted in classrooms is water. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a safe, healthy, and focused learning environment.

Reading Logs |
📚 Reading Logs Begin This Week for Grades K–3! 📚 We are excited to launch our Reading Logs this week for all students in Kindergarten through 3rd Grade! Each student will receive a reading folderthat goes home daily. Inside the folder, you will find:
- A passage that your child must read at home each night.
- A reading log paper that includes the passage title, the date it should be read, and a space for a parent/guardian signature.
This will serve as your child’s homework each night. Please be sure the reading log is signed nightly as your child completes their reading. Consistent daily practice at home builds confidence, fluency, and a lifelong love for reading! 💙 |
Minor Behavior Documentation |
This year, we are continuing to focus on clear communication between home and school regarding student behavior. Minor behaviors (those that are managed by the classroom teacher) will be documented using a minor form. If your child receives a minor, an envelope with the form will be sent home. We ask that a parent or guardian review and sign the form, then return it to school the following day. This process helps keep families informed while giving students the opportunity to learn and grow from their choices. |
Happy Feet |
On Friday, our wonderful community members worked with Happy Feet to give shoes to our students! We are so grateful for their generosity and support of our school!
The smiles on our students’ faces said it all—when feet are happy, minds are ready to learn!

Veteran's Day Parade |
🎺🇺🇸 We are excited to share that the 20th Annual Veteran’s Day Parade will take place on Tuesday, November 11 at 1:00pm on Main Street. This special community tradition is a wonderful opportunity to honor and celebrate the service of our veterans. Our students will be participating in the parade, and we encourage families to help their children begin practicing their songs at home so they can sing with confidence and pride on the big day! Click your child's grade level below for a link to their song!
