Tomorrow is the big day — the first day of the 2025–2026 school year! Our hallways are ready, our classrooms are prepared, and our staff is eager to welcome your children with smiles, encouragement, and excitement. We can’t wait to begin a year filled with learning, growth, and new opportunities.

This special Back-to-School edition of The Monday Minute includes everything you need to know for a smooth start tomorrow — from arrival and dismissal procedures to PE schedules, medication information, and helpful reminders. Whether this is your first year with us or you’ve been part of our school family for many years, you’ll find all the important details in one place.
Thank you for trusting us with your most precious gift — your child. We are looking forward to partnering with you to make this year a truly amazing experience for every student. Here’s to a wonderful first day and an even better year ahead!
-Mrs. Boggs, Principal
First Day Jitters
The first day of school can be exciting, but it can also bring a case of the jitters—sometimes for parents, too! You can help your child by offering extra encouragement, listening to their worries, and reminding them that it’s normal to feel a little nervous when starting something new. A consistent morning routine, a confident goodbye, and a smile can help turn those butterflies into excitement. Together, we can make this a great start to the school year! 🦋
School News

🚗 Arrival & Dismissal Information
For morning arrival, doors open at 7:10 AM, and all students will enter through the gym doors. Buses will unload downstairs by the gym first, followed by car riders. If your child is a car rider, please wait to pull into the line until after the buses have pulled in to avoid being stuck between them. Middle and high school students will now also be loading and unloading downstairs by the gym — this is a change from our original message, designed to make things easier for parents and families. Everyone will be dropped off at the same location!
For dismissal, school ends at 3:00 PM. Car riders will still be picked up downstairs by the gym — please have your car tag out and visible so we can identify you quickly. If your child will be a walker, they will bring home a permission slip tomorrow. Remember, walkers must walk to a designated location.

🥗 Free Breakfast & Lunch for All Students
We are excited to share that Webster County Schools will continue participating in the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2025–2026 school year. This means all students will receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at no cost every school day. We are proud to provide nutritious meals for our students to help fuel learning, focus, and growth — ensuring that every child is ready to do their best each day.

💻 Chromebook Fees
Chromebook fees for the 2025–2026 school year are $35 per student. We are now accepting payments online through ParentSquare, and you should receive a notification with payment instructions today. If you prefer, you are also welcome to pay by cash or check in the front office. Thank you for helping us maintain our devices and ensure all students have access to reliable technology throughout the year!

👟 PE Day Reminder
To help your child participate safely and comfortably in PE Class, please make sure they wear tennis shoes on their scheduled PE day. Proper footwear helps prevent injuries and allows students to fully enjoy all activities. You’ll find the PE schedule listed below — thank you for helping us keep our students safe and ready to move!

🔒 New Secure Entrance
We are excited to share that our school now has a new secure entrance to help keep our students and staff safe. As part of this update, a drop-off table has been placed inside the entrance area for parents to leave items for students (such as lunches, homework, or supplies) without needing to enter the main building. Our office staff will make sure these items are delivered promptly to your child. Thank you for helping us keep our school secure!
New Front Office Staff
We’re excited to share that you’ll see two new friendly faces when you visit our front office! Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Daliena Thomas McCully, our new clerical assistant, and Ms. Leighann Harper, our new secretary. They’re ready to greet you with a smile and help make your visit a pleasant one. We appreciate your patience and kindness as they are new to their roles and learning all things Sebree!
Medication Information
💊 Updated Medication Protocol
As we prepare for the new school year, please note that all medications—including emergency, over-the-counter, and prescriptionmust have a completed doctor’s order on file before they can be accepted or administered at school. These forms are available in the front office, and we encourage you to pick them up as soon as possible if your child will need medication during the school day. Additionally, if your child requires emergency medication, a current Care Plan must be submitted along with the doctor’s order. We appreciate your help in keeping all students safe and healthy by following this important protocol.
Special School Spirit Days
We love showing our pride and unity through special school spirit days each month!
🎉 True Blue Days take place on the first day of each month, when we all wear blue to promote Webster County as a drug-free community.
🎉 Maroon 5 Days happen on any date with a “5” in it — the 5th, 15th, and 25th — and we wear maroon to show unity across all of Webster County.
🎉 Sebree Spirit Days are held on the last Wednesday of each month, when we wear our Sebree gear and show off our Wildcat pride. Mark your calendars and join the fun!
Staff Professional Development

This past week, our staff participated in professional development sessions to prepare for the year ahead and dive into all things school. From learning new strategies to reviewing important procedures, our team is ready and excited to welcome students back.  A huge thank you to Independence Bank and Calvary Life Center for their generosity in providing delicious meals for our staff during these training days — we are so grateful for your support of our school community! ❤️
