We are just one week away from the first day of school, and the excitement is truly building! Our team has been working hard to prepare a warm, welcoming, and inspiring environment for your children — and we cannot wait to see their smiling faces walk through our doors.

This second edition of The Monday Minute is all about getting you and your child ready for Day One.  We know this time of year can feel overwhelming, so we’ve gathered all of the most important details into one place — to help you feel confident, calm, and ready.  Inside this issue, you’ll find everything you need to know — including school supply lists, medication and health information, upcoming events, and transportation information.

Please take a few moments to read through the details carefully so you feel confident and prepared. Our goal is to make the return to school as smooth and stress-free as possible for both you and your child.

If you still have questions after reading, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We’re here to help and happy to assist in any way we can.

Let the countdown begin — and let’s get ready for an incredible year!

🏫 Open House
Join us for Open House on Thursday from 5:30–7:00 PM! This is a great opportunity to meet your child’s teacher, drop off school supplies, complete online registration, visit Nurse Jennifer, and check bus routes. It’s a one-stop event to help your family feel ready and excited for the first day of school — we can’t wait to see you there!

💻 Chromebook Fees
Chromebook fees for the 2025–2026 school year are $35 per student. We are now accepting payments online through ParentSquare, and you should receive a notification with payment instructions today. If you prefer, you are also welcome to pay by cash or check in the front office. Thank you for helping us maintain our devices and ensure all students have access to reliable technology throughout the year!

🎉 Kindergarten Jumpstart
We had a fantastic time at Kindergarten Jumpstart today! Our newest Red Devils got to meet their teachers, listen to a fun read-aloud, and complete a hands-on craft to kick off their learning adventure. One of the highlights was our special Kindergarten Signing Ceremony, where each student made a proud commitment to becoming part of the Sebree Elementary family. To top it all off, they even got to enjoy their first bus ride! We’re so excited to welcome this amazing group of learners to our school!  A few pictures are below.  Check our school Facebook page for more photos from this event!

Medication Information
💊 Updated Medication Protocol
As we prepare for the new school year, please note that all medications—including emergency, over-the-counter, and prescriptionmust have a completed doctor’s order on file before they can be accepted or administered at school. These forms are available in the front office, and we encourage you to pick them up as soon as possible if your child will need medication during the school day. Additionally, if your child requires emergency medication, a current Care Plan must be submitted along with the doctor’s order. We appreciate your help in keeping all students safe and healthy by following this important protocol.
Morning Transportation

Please see information below in regards to morning transportation for the
   2025-2026 school year!
