🏗️ Summer means progress!

Our schools may be quieter, but behind the scenes, it’s a busy season of maintenance and construction! From roofing projects to facility upgrades, we’re working hard to ensure safe, welcoming spaces for students and staff this fall. Below are pictures from some of our summer projects, including those focused on roofing, HVAC, safe, secure entrances, and facilities.

Volleyball Camp Set for July 16th

WCHS Volleyball Team is hosting a Volleyball Camp for Girls going into 3rd - 6th grades on July 16th from 9 AM - Noon in the WCMS Gym. Admission is $30. Click the button below to register!

Exciting news from KY State FFA Convention!

WCHS FFA Students returned after a busy week at the state convention!
  • Gabe Vincent was one of three students to receive the KY FFA Shark Tank Grant! He was awarded $5,000 to help expand his business of Gabe’s Aquatics! Check out his Facebook Page for more information about his freshwater fish business.
  • Hunter Redfern competed in the State Talent contest.
  • Cali Walters competed in the State FFA Creed competition.
  • Cali Walters competed in the Agricultural Essay Contest.
  • Four students competed in speaking contests: Hyatt Kelley- Extemporaneous, Abby Laughary- Swine Public Speaking, Saydee Cowan- Beef Public Speaking, and Cate Lovan- Goat and Sheep Public Speaking.
  • Two students signed to be Beef Ambassadors through the Kentucky Beef Council. Hannah Clark and Danielle Tapp signed on as advocates for the beef industry and were provided with educational materials to help them educate others about the industry.
  • Six students competed in the Agriscience Fair competition. These students have spent many hours researching articles and theories, conducting their experiments, and compiling evidence to present to a panel of judges at the state contest. Hunter Redfern- Ag Power Systems, Danielle Tapp-Ag Power Systems, Haylee Richmond and Allie Puckett- Environmental Systems, Davis Olson and Alex Floyd- Social Systems.
  • Four seniors received their State FFA Degree, the highest honor that Kentucky FFA can bestow upon its members. Congratulations to Hyatt Kelley, Paige Rakestraw, Abby Laughary, and Madison Ramage!
