Parent/Caregiver Survey Link Now Available

As part of our commitment to providing continuous service excellence to our families and community, we conduct surveys in partnership with Studer Education. Your feedback will help us determine what works well and identify areas for improvement.

The survey will ask you to select your child’s school, and you can complete a separate survey for each school your children attend.

The survey is scheduled for Monday, March 24, through Friday, April 4. To maintain the confidentiality of the Parent/Caregiver Experience Survey, our partners at Studer Education will administer it, manage the data collection, and analyze the data to provide results reports to leaders.

Thank you for your commitment to our success!

Introducing Student Spotlights!

Webster County Schools believes in celebrating our students' hard work, creativity, and achievements! That’s why we’re excited to introduce the Student Spotlight at our monthly board meetings.

We will feature outstanding students from across the district who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, creativity, or other notable accomplishments. Whether it’s an impressive project, an award-winning performance, or a unique contribution to the school community, we want to recognize our incredible students!

Stay tuned for more spotlights, and help us cheer on the amazing students of Webster County Schools! #OurStudentsShine

March Student Spotlight

Our first Student Spotlight showcased the literary writing of two WCHS students, Leonel Martinez and Maria Miguel Juan. Both students shared their "Where I'm From" poems that highlighted what makes them who they are today. They incorporated personal details and examples that added to the meaning of the two pieces.

Stephanie Pleskach, English Learner Instructor, shared information about the English Learner program before introducing the students.

Webster County Schools Receives the KY Comprehensive Literacy (KYCL) Grant

The Kentucky Department of Education announced that Webster County Schools is one of 39 districts in the state to have received the Kentucky Comprehensive Literacy (KYCL) grant.

The five-year grant will provide $1.3 million to support professional learning, literacy instruction, and other curriculum and family engagement resources for Early Childhood through grade 12. Year one of the five-year grant begins this summer.

The grant will impact literacy efforts district-wide and for all grade bands, including funding for high-quality instructional resources, professional learning, and student and family resources to support school readiness and student achievement. A district team collaborated on this grant to ensure that all grade-band grant requirements were met so the academic transitions between levels are strengthened and student literacy outcomes are improved.
