February is CTE Month!
Join us in celebrating Webster County's CTE programs! Career and Technical Education (CTE) offers a valuable pathway for students to acquire the specific skills, knowledge, and practical experience necessary for success in various careers and technical fields. These programs emphasize hands-on, experiential learning, allowing students to apply their classroom knowledge in real-world settings.

Today's spotlight is on Agriculture Education and the Webster County FFA! Club sponsors are, from left to right, Ms. Alissa Gott, Mrs. Christina Ramage, and Ms. Gabbi Major.

Through our instructors' teaching, expertise, and leadership, our students have incredible opportunities to gain hands-on experience and skills for their future careers!

Too Good for Drugs Logo
Too Good for Drugs Program to Begin in WC Schools
Webster County Schools is excited to collaborate with the Beacon of West KY to implement the Too Good for Drugs program in Webster County Elementary Schools!

Skills development is at the core of Too Good for Drugs, a universal K-12 prevention education program designed to mitigate the risk factors and enhance protective factors related to alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs (ATOD) use. The lessons introduce and develop skills for making healthy choices, building positive friendships, developing self-efficacy, communicating effectively, and resisting peer pressure and influence.

Each elementary school will have a school-based prevention facilitator who will teach the curriculum. During this school year, facilitators will focus on grades 4-6, adding more grades during the 25-26 school year. Our team of facilitators has been trained and is ready to meet students! They are:
* Clay Elementary Facilitator - Lisa Preston
* Dixon Elementary Facilitator - Carly Shadrick
* Providence Elementary Facilitator - Lisa Lossner
* Sebree Elementary Facilitator - Darrin Buchanan
